Threading is a great anti-aging procedure that lifts, smooths, and boosts collagen production in the skin, but how do you know that it’s right for you?
What is PDO Threading?
Threading involves use of PDO, polydioxanone sutures that are placed in the skin. At Door to Door Med Spa we use Novathreads which are easily inserted and are resorbable. It takes just a few minutes to place and typically is minimally painful. It is well tolerated and results are seen within a few weeks. Patients may feel a slight tugging but this diminishes over time.
How does it work?
The PDO threads absorb over 3-6 months. Through a selective inflammatory response your body lays down new collagen in its place. The skin will naturally tighten in that place. They can be placed almost anywhere and are a great way to lift the lower third of the face where botox and fillers can be most challenging. PDO threads give the best result when combined with dermal fillers, botox, microneedling and chemical peels.
How much does PDO threading cost?
The cost of PDO threads depends on location and the type of threads that are placed.
How do I know if I am a good candidate?
The best candidate is men and women are just starting to experience sagging in the mid and lower face. Schedule a consult with Door to Door Med Spa to see if PDO threading is right for you.
